Purpose/Event:
The Alabama Forestry Association is hosting it's 2019 Annual Meeting, to be held at the Perdido Beach Resort in Orange Beach, Alabama. Perdido Beach Resort in Orange Beach, Alabama will be the host hotel this year. Golf this year, The Sunburn Classic, will be held along beautiful Mobile Bay at one of Alabama’s most spectacular golf venues — Gulf Shores, Peninsula Golf and Racquet Club. Invitations will be sent to public officials and the expenses associate with their attendance will be provided by AFA, including lodging, meals and registration fees. AFA will not be offering to cover anything other than lodging, meals and registration. Alabama’s timber industry includes over 250,000 distinct, individual timberland owners, directly employs over 120,000 and represents 8% of the State’s GDP. It is critically important for public officials to become educated on the issues affecting this important rural economic industry segment.
