Purpose/Event:
The Alabama Farmers Federation is holding their 4th Annual Alabama Farmers Agriculture Foundation (AFAF) Sporting Clays Fundraiser which will be held at Selwood Farms in Alpine, AL. 100% of the proceeds from this event will go into the AFAF, which supports and advances agriculture in Alabama through education and research. Informational/educational materials will be provided. There will be a video of a teacher speaking about the Alabama Ag in the Classroom Summer Institute and the strategies learned to increase student knowledge of the nutritional and economic importance of the food and fiber systems in their daily lives. There is a breakfast and lunch associated with the fundraiser. All participants will receive an embroidered hat with the event logo that costs $8.50 plus tax and a "Farming Feeds Alabama" croakie (attaches to eyeglasses) which costs $1.25 each. A sporting team member may wish to invite a state legislator and/or a state employee to the event. A list of invited guests will be provided, state legislators and/or state employees once they are determined. There will be lobbyists with the Alabama Farmers Federation present at the event.
