Purpose/Event:
This event, the District 56 Educational Luncheon, is being hosted by Representative Louise Alexander. Having battled breast cancer, it has become Rep. Alexander's mission to make sure the women in her district have a strong support system while dealing with this deadly disease. During the luncheon, community leaders along with experts will be speaking about the different outlets that women in Rep. Alexander's district can use to support them. College admissions staffers will also be on hand to offer information on continuing education. This event is considered an Educational Function, and/or Widely Attended Event. Pamphlets, contact information, information on Literacy and support documents for continuing education will be provided to those in attendance. Rep. Alexander is looking to ask the following companies/cities to assist with this event: Alabama power, AEA, Coca Cola, Nursing Home Association, Mcdonalds, the City of Bessemer, the County Commissioners and other companies *No proceeds can be converted to personal use and no lobbyists can be solicited for sponsorship.
