The invitation list for each region is being determined, inviting all members of both chambers that are in an approximate 60 mile range of the event.
Purpose/Event:
The Alabama Cable & Broadband Association is hosting six regional meetings with Legislators in their respective areas of the state. This event will be held in Tuscaloosa, AL on November 15th. These meetings will give the Legislators a chance to have conversations with experts in the field of broadband and cable to learn more about our industry. Topics will include broadband adoption versus access, status of the AL Rural Broadband Grant Process and potential issues in the upcoming Legislative Session. At these meetings, the Association plans to: educate the legislators on cable related issues that impact each of their districts, have a brief presentation of these topics presented by ACBA members, the governmental affairs experts and Michelle Roth and to serve lunch. The Association is hopeful that this time spent with the legislators will give them a stronger understanding of industry issues and concerns. *Contingent upon providing invitation list prior to each event.
