Invitees:
Public Officials. Please see attached agenda.
Purpose/Event:
The Alabama Forestry Association is hosting their Government Affairs Committee Meeting at the Grand Hotel in Point Clear, Alabama. There are a number of public officials that will be participating in the program. AFA will waive the registration fee (which is $250) for these officials and will also reimburse their hotel and travel expenses, to the extent they are not covered by the state's reimbursement policies. Other public officials, that are not speakers, will be in attendance as well. For these officials, AFA will waive the registration fee, but expect them to pick up their own hotel and travel expenses. AFA will not be soliciting the attendance of public officials through formal invitations. However, they suspect, that they will have a few that express interest in coming once they hear of it and they certainly will not exclude them. AFA recognizes that the waiver of the registration fees will trigger the daily reporting requirement and will file this information with the Ethics Commission office accordingly.
