Purpose/Event:
The Alabama Cable & Broadband Association expects to have some important issues in the coming Legislative Session. Michelle Roth is hosting a dinner for members of the Senate and their staff at the Hank Williams Museum and plans to: Educate the Legislators on cable/broadband related issues that impact each of their districts, have a brief presentation of these topics given by ACBA members, ACBA's governmental affairs experts and Ms. Roth herself, and also serve dinner from Dreamland BBQ (less than $25/pp) This educational dinner will include the ACBA Board of Directors as well as cable members from across the state. This meeting will give the Legislators a chance to have conversations with experts in the field of broadband and cable to learn more about the industry. Topics will include broadband adoption versus access, status of the AL Rural Broadband Grant Process and potential issues in the upcoming Legislative Session. ACBA is hopeful that this time spent with the Legislators will give them a stronger understanding of industry issues and concerns.
