This event is educational in nature; the purpose is to train pediatricians in the state on issues pertaining to pediatrics/child health (i.e. Medicaid funding, Public Health funding, legislation affecting child healthcare, etc.) as well as on how to advocate. Then, pediatricians will visit their lawmakers after the educational session. (They will be encouraged to make appointments prior to that date.) Breakfast will be served for the attendees, who will invite their lawmakers to join if they choose.
