Purpose/Event:
The annual H2O Foundation Golf Tournament will be held on Friday October 8, 2021 at Oxmoor Valley Golf Course, Birmingham, Alabama. The Foundation is a 501(c)(3) organization whose purpose is to provide help to low income, elderly or disabled persons pay their water and sewer bills and/or pay for plumbing repairs. The Foundation contracts with the Salvation Army to accomplish this purpose by having the Salvation Army administer this program. The Tournament has been held for over 14 years, and typically raises about $50,000 annually. These amounts come through corporate sponsorships and tournament registrations. Sponsorships and registrations include tickets, golf, food and beverages. Some sponsors or registrants may invite public employees or public officials to participate on their teams. There will be an informational/educational portion of the Tournament which will explain and inform participants of the purposes of the Foundation.
