Purpose/Event:
The City of Pell City will host an annual Christmas luncheon for its employees and community leaders. During the luncheon City employees will be recognized and thanked for their work during the preceding year, and long-term City employees are recognized for their years of service and presented with award plaques. The event this year is tentatively scheduled for Friday, December 16th. A meal is provided free of charge to all of those in attendance, the significant majority of which are City employees, City elected officials, and members of various City Boards and Commissions. Additional attendees include spouses of honorees, elected officials from St. Clair County and other State offices. The meal is proposed to be sponsored by the law firm of Trussell, Funderburg, Rea, Bell, & Furgerson and other professional vendors of the City, who have volunteered to cover the costs associated with the luncheon. Additional dishes are donated by individual employees. City employees will perform the food preparation for the event. None of the proposed sponsors of the event are registered principals. The cost of the meal does not exceed twenty-five dollars in value per person.
