Invitees:
Employees of the Port Authority to attend the event, the Vice president for General Cargo Operation an the manager of Forest Products Sale, expecting approximately 25 to be in attendance. Also, those in attendance will be lumber shippers, who utilize the port and OsloBulk Services, stevedoring companies that actually physically load the ships for OsloBulk, and the agent that handles transactions for OsloBulk.
Purpose/Event:
OsloBulk is a shipping line that regularly calls Mobile carrying lumber, plywood and poles down into the carribean basin. They periodically have events to thank shippers and other service providers for utilizing their service during the year. On February 11, 2022, they are having a cocktail reception with dinner following, at Noble South on Dauphin Street, Mobile, Alabama. The Alabama State Port Authority (the "Port Authority") is an agency of the State of Alabama whose purpose is to promote, supervise, control, manage and direct the state docks and other state lands. The Vice President for General Cargo Operations is in charge of the facilities where these ships dock, and the manager of Forest Product Sales, who interfaces with the shippers and with OsloBulk, have both been invited to this year's event. The Port Authority thinks it would be helpful for employees of the Port Authority to attend the event.
