Purpose/Event:
The Southern Legislative Conference (SLC) will host its 76th Annual Meeting, July 9—13, 2022, in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. SLC is the premiere annual conference for public policy discussions in southern state legislatures, bringing together hundreds of state legislators, legislative staff, government officials, trade associations, and private sector representatives. The SLC provides policy makers an opportunity to engage regional and national experts about issues of utmost importance to their constituents. The SLC is a widely attended event and has many educational components. On Monday, July 11 is the Alabama Night Dinner during SLC. AT&T will give an educational presentation discussing communications, broadband—both state and federal initiatives aimed to expand deployment in rural and unserved areas in Alabama, capital investment, and related issues. Several companies and associations have indicated their willingness to co-sponsor the dinner should Ethics pre-certify. All sponsors will be given the same opportunity to present or to introduce themselves.
