Event Description: The Alabama Medical Association, Alabama Academy of Family Physicians, and the Alabama Chapter of the American Academy of Pediatrics, will be jointly hosting a bipartisan gathering and reception on February 3, 2026, in the conference area of the Business Council of Alabama building located at 2 N Jackson St, Montgomery, AL 36104 for the membership of the Alabama Legislature’s Rural Caucus and Rural Caucus Advisory Committee, which consists of a dozen or more members of the Legislature from both parties. This gathering will educate and inform legislators and staff on the challenges to healthcare access in rural Alabama with a focus on workforce issues and highlight the impacts of measles outbreaks in schools and communities.
