Event Description: The National Conference of State Legislatures (NCSL) is requesting Mr. Tanaka join us as a featured speaker at a convening of the Health Innovations Task Force on July 26, 2026 in Chicago, IL. He has been asked to do a presentation during a session titled: Advanced Tech in Medicaid: A New Tool for Existing Challenges. NCSL is the professional association for state and territorial legislatures. Every state legislator and legislative staffer is a member of NCSL. The Health Innovations Task Force is a regular educational convening hosted by NCSL that hosts a group of legislators and legislative staff to learn about innovations in health care. NCSL often brings in experts on emerging topics to present to this group. Our request for Mr. Tanaka to speak is based on his expertise arising from his responsibilities at Alabama Medicaid. He will provide valuable insight to state legislators and legislative staff into the strategies that have been successful in Alabama. He may also hear examples of other uses of advanced technology in Medicaid from other states present at the convening.
