Gregory P. Butrus, Secretary, Energy Institute of Alabama, Balch & Bingham LLP.
Invitees:
All members of the Legislature, members of the Southern States Energy Board and out of state members, PSC Commissioners, members of the Energy Institute of Alabama.
Purpose/Event:
The Energy Institute of Alabama, in conjunction with the Southern States Energy Board (SSEB) plans to host an Energy Day in Montgomery, AL. This event is being held for national and state policy leaders in the energy arena. The current agenda includes remarks by Arkansas Governor Asa Hutchinson (the Chairman of SSEB) on the importance of energy innovation, a panel discussion led by industry leaders, an executive luncheon, and a reception later that day that will feature a guest speaker. Prior to the luncheon, there will be a panel discussion on industry issues. The composition of that panel is still developing based on speaker availability, but we expect that all invitees from Alabama (and all SSEB leaders) who are invited to the luncheon will also be invited to the panel discussion. We also plan to have a tour of the Capitol building (primarily for out of state guests). EIA will provide participants with meals and other food and beverages at the different stages of the event. With respect to the reception that EIA and SSEB will host at the conclusion of the day's events, all invitees to the luncheon (including out of state invitees) will be invited along with all members of the Legislature.
