The Association of County Commissions of Alabama is hosting its annual golf tournament and barbeque lunch for its members and companies and organizations that are affiliated with the Association. This event will take place at the Timberline Golf Course in Shelby County, AL. Companies will purchase sponsorships for the tournament. The day-long event includes golf and prizes as well as a lunch at the course for participants. The cost of greens fees, lunch, and refreshments for county officials and employees are segregated from the cost for other participants. The costs for county officials and employees are paid from other funds held by the Association of County Commissions of Alabama and not from sponsorship fees. During the event, the Association also distributes information regarding its legislative accomplishments from the previous year and the Alabama Platform, which details the Association's legislative goals and activities for the coming session.
