Purpose/Event:
Madison County is hosting a Community Service Day at one of their county shops in New Hope. The Community Service Day gives local non-profits, the county and retailers the chance to tell the community as a whole, Thank You for the difference you make in Madison County, New Hope and beyond. We plan to center the event around some set of public good. These public goods are: A Severe Weather briefing from local meteorologist with NOAA WX Radio Programming (given that the second tornado season is near), Flu Shots or health screenings offered by a local clinic/medical facility/licensed professional, seminar from Alabama Cooperative Extension, a day of bringing unwanted items (hazardous bulbs, paper shredding, unwanted TV's, computers, batteries, etc.) Madison County has also asked if the local Lions Club or any other non-profit community driven organization can pay for the event if they have it on county property.
