Purpose/Event:
Apple, Inc. is a client of The Jones Group, LLC. Apple, Inc. is providing meals to legislators during educational presentations and a tour of the Apple corporate headquarters. The event is for educational purposes and will include a tour of Apple’s headquarters in Cupertino, CA along with a number of presentations on matters including advanced technology, the regulatory playing field, and global competition. Legislators participating in this event are responsible for all other associated travel costs and expenses related to the trip. Eight legislators and legislative staff members are expected to participate in this event, and it is reasonably expected that more than 12 people will attend the event (including Apple team members, outside government affairs representatives and various presenters). While meal expenditures for legislators participating in the event are not expected to be more than $50.00 per person per day, we are seeking pre-certification as a widely attended event in case some orders exceed the statutory limitation. The meals will not exceed the $250.00 annual limit.
